Idea:
Okay, so the loop stitch? Makes a loop, any size. If you use that Paton's Upcountry I've got in bunches in my stash, which is one large single, and you twist it more when making the stitch, you could get the loop to twist around itself. This would make kinda a spoke, a dreadlock, in short - a tentacle. Why couldn't you make a squod/octopus or even a Cthulhu hat this way?
Why not indeed?
